Happy (Belated) Easter!

So I went home for Easter, so there was no post last weekend, but I’m back and so is the blog!

Because it was Baby Button’s first Easter, I sent her this play outfit as a Easter present!

The sweater is crocheted from a washable pink sparkly yarn. I love how cute and soft it turned out, even though it will only fit Button for a short time (which is ok, since it will soon be too hot for sweaters in TX). The pattern is from Auntie M’s Free Patterns – i modified it by only doing the sleeves pattern once b/c i wanted a short sleeve instead of a long one.

The dress is a modified sundress pattern from Kwik Sewing for Baby. I love how the eyelet skirt turned out, and Amy says it will fit Button for the rest of the summer!

I couldn’t wait to post them on Craftster, but I wanted to wait until Amy, J, and Button to receive the package before posting it here, so if you want to see the Craftster responses to the sweater and dress, click those links!

They really are adorable! I will post a picture of Button in it as soon as I can wash it again. I had her all decked out and as I was putting a matching bow in her hair, she decided to deposit her lunch on the new dres 🙁

There went the pictures. The little poo. Babies have no sense of timing.

Joi, this is really amazing. You are one talented punk. Sewing is worth at least 1,000 scene points! I have an interview with a principal at Jenkins elem. in Spring ISD May 2nd…rock on!! 🙂 Moving out to Spring is worth 2,000 scene points.
